Senior Ferry team earn draw.
Travelling to Newcastle any day for a league game is always difficult to bring home anything.
Ferry short a few regulars had to dig deep into thier squad.
Newcastle started brightly but the Ferry defence stood strong.
Ferry came close to scoring from a free kick by Shane Heffernan when it hit the cross bar.
No score at half time, a game that could swing any way
Newcastle broke through our back four and scored in the 60th min.
Ferry heads did not drop and they kept battling ,
Eventually from a Ferry free kick across the Newcastle box, the ball broke to Conor Flavin to drive home.
Good draw in Newcastle.
